Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Engineering Manager to join our development team. In this role, you will make
the data available for our platform and the machine learning team by designing, architecting and
implementing modern data architectures and pipelines. You develop, construct, test and
maintain architectures, such as databases and data processing systems. You must deal with
raw data from our customers that contains human, machine or instrument errors. The data might
not be validated and contain suspect records.

We need you to recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and
quality. To do so, you employ a variety of languages and tools to connect systems together.
Your responsibility also is to ensure that the architecture that is in place supports the
requirements of the machine learning engineers and our customers

Responsibilities

Ensuring that the right data from different sources is available for machine learning
Developing the processes, standards, and tools for delivering and accessing the data
Processing, cleansing, wrangling, enriching and verifying the data for data analysis
Extending the data with third-party sources of information when needed
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for
building analytic systems

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent scripting and programming skills
Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL
Experience with NoSQL databases
Experience with data frameworks and data pipelining
Basic understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
Data-oriented personality
Great communication skills in spoken and written English
- Finnish is not required but will be an advantage in this role
